June 2024 (left) — March 2024 (right) This is what regular, consistent extension wear with great at home care looks like. In 3 months after removal she has thicker and longer hair. She did regular move ups every 6 weeks, brushed every day twice a day, wore a low pony or braid to bed, and oiled her ends everyday. She decided to take her extensions out for the summer because she wanted to do all the things I don’t recommend with extensions (swimming in chlorine, salt water, and lake water) so we’re taking a bit of a break before she puts them back in for the fall. Yes extensions can cause damage when put in incorrectly, and bad at home care. I get a lot of questions about what extensions look like under the hood— Machine tied wefts and genius wefts are sewn into a row of beads and give high impact volume and length. They need to be moved up every 6 weeks. The hair is reusable and can last up to 9 months with great at home care! Your hair can’t be air dried and needs to be blow dried after every wash. K Tips are small and bonded to the root, and they last 3 months. They are matched and cut to the exact density of your hair, so this takes longer but the positives are you don’t have to come in as often to get it redone, and you can air dry your hair.
